What’s your story?

I previously worked at Motorcycle City for 20+ years, in every department!

What is your favourite motorcycle?

I can’t pick just one! My favourite three are the Yamaha YZFR1 60th anniversary, XSR900 and WR450 dirt bike…at the moment.

How long have you been in the industry?

I have been in the industry for 35 years.

What do you like to do in your free time?

My track day bucket list…all the famous European circuits plus fishing and shooting.

Jacques Verwey

What’s your story?
I’m South African & previously worked in adventure tourism in SA.

What is your favourite motorcycle?
Yamaha XT500.

How long have you been in the industry?
I’ve been in the bike trade for 9 years, having worked with both BMW and Yamaha. I also spent a little time on the dark side selling Honda cars.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Astro-photography (weather permitting) & BBQ (non-weather permitting)

Noelle Meredith

What’s your story?
I used to work in Aerospace and after that the mobile phone industry.

What is your favourite motorcycle?
Yamaha XSR700 & definitely in Garage Metal!

How long have you been in the industry?
I have worked in the industry for 9 years now.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Walking my Ridgeback (you may see him in the showroom on occasion) and I love to ski every year.

Jack Stevenson

What’s your story?
Born and raised in Kingston upon Thames and moved to Ash 3 years ago. Worked in the leisure industry selling karting events, Motorsport related activities and hospitality packages. Before that worked in the ‘access’ industry selling ramps, and before that in publishing selling information services.

What is your favourite motorcycle?
Favourite motorcycle is either the 2009 Hanspree Honda CBR600RR or Triumph Daytona, although I’ve not owned either (yet). If we need to put a Yamaha down I’d say either the previous R6, or the new MT10.

How long have you been in the industry?
New to the industry – The Motorbike Shop is my first job – started mid December 2016 so still learning on a daily basis!

What do you like to do in your free time?
New father and and as such I spend my free time with my fiancé and son. We enjoy eating out from time to time and going on holidays. We follow the F1 calendar around the world and have been to Malaysia, Singapore, Spain and Belgium to watch the racing. We also volunteer at an Aminal Welfare centre in Koh Landa in Krabi, Thailand.

Natalia Seweryn

What’s your story?

I was born in Poland and lived there until I was 17, then moved to UK and have been living here for 8 years. This is what I call home.

What is your favourite motorcycle?

My favourite motorcycle is…my motorcycle, KTM RC8 (aka Pumpkin)

How long have you been in the industry?

I started working in the industry last year in October 2016. So I am still a newbie.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I like to write on my blog but of course if the weather is good you will only see me on two wheels.

Ricky Lowther

What’s your story?

I was born and raised in Guildford, Surrey but I now live in London. I sandwiched these two homes with a 6 month stint in Latin America which was an incredible experience. After university, I went into the motor trade and have been in it ever since, working in both the motorcycle and the car industry.

What is your favourite motorcycle?

For a Yamaha, the beautiful XSR900 in garage metal. Otherwise, Honda SP2 which I will now never be able to afford!

How long have you been in the industry?

I have been in the motorcycle trade for around 10 years with 3 years in the car industry in between.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to run and have completed the London Marathon a couple of times. I’m also booked to run it again next year. Otherwise, my favourite two things are food and travel, ideally in some kind of combination!

Trevor Vass

What’s your story?

Born and bred in Farnborough

What is your favourite motorcycle?

My favourite bike to ride is the Ducati 996 SPS.

How long have you been in the industry?

I have worked in the trade since I was 17. If you know me and my age, you can do the maths!

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy watching MOTO X in my free time as well as mountain biking.

Sam Curry

What’s your story?

I was born in Surrey but I have lived in Hampshire all my life. I’ve work in a number of jobs including in kitchens, on bars and on the phone at Audi. I always wanted to work in the motorcycle industry and here I am!

What is your favourite motorcycle?

Hard question! One of my favourites in the R1 2006 onwards. Beauty of a bike!

How long have you been in the industry?

I have been working with bikes for 3 years now.

What do you like to do in your free time?

If its Sunny, I’ll be on my MT09. Otherwise, I enjoy going to the gym and a good session gaming like a nerd.

Kevin Tydeman

What’s your story?

I live locally in Yately and I have been in the area for many years.

What is your favourite motorcycle?

I love the look of the new Yamaha MT10 tourer!

How long have you been in the industry?

More years than I can count!

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy traveling to incredible places around the world. I also enjoy playing darts and spending time with my grandchildren.

Alex Duncan

What’s your story?

I was born in Ascot and have lived in Bracknell my whole life. I enlisted in the Army in 2008 and spent a lot of time with 3 Rifles and completed a tour of Afghan in 2012.

What is your favourite motorcycle?

The Yamaha R1 (of which I actually own!)

How long have you been in the industry?

I am quite recent to the industry, having been employed in the trade for around 12 months.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I’m into photography & shooting (targets not people I must say!).

Kostas Kantelmidhs

What’s your story?

I was born and lived in Athens my whole life, until a recent move to the UK. My mother birthed me on a Honda motorcycle!

What is your favourite motorcycle?

Honda 954 Blade!

How long have you been in the industry?

I have worked in the motorcycle industry for 28 years.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Customising bikes, playing bowling and of course spending time with my family.

The Motorbike Shop’s History

The Motorbike Shop was launched in 2007 by Dean Hemmings, formally of Motorcycle City, Riossi and Infinity Motorcycles. Dean’s vision was to start The Motorbike Shop as a dealership who provide motorcyclists with competitively priced new Yamaha motorcycles, the best quality used motorcycles, servicing and parts, whilst also giving the best possible customer service with expert knowledge and advice.

Dean has over 30 years experience in the industry and has honed his skills predominantly on the sourcing of quality used motorcycles. Other members of the team include two sales executives whose collective experience is in excess of over 20 years and a parts and service department with technicians who have experience working with all the top manufacturers.
